Care for a cup?

I can think of few affairs that I love more than a tea party!  There's something about the atmosphere that always makes me feel like I've traveled back in time when elegance & sophistication (and dessert!) were the standard.  In fact, I love them so much that my very own bridal shower was a high tea at the lovely T Room in my hometown of Los Angeles... I didn't give my sister a choice, it was "tea party" or bust!

So naturally when I received today's photo submission, I couldn't help but want to dust off my petticoat and start speaking in a British accent!  Planned by her bridesmaids, Beth's 1920's themed bridal tea is the perfect example of the right way to do "DIY" vintage.  From scones to butter cookies, the food was lovingly prepared by her friends and each guest received gloves as favors.  The decor was especially thoughtful, with the tables covered in Beth's grandmother's antique china and lace.  As captured by the bride's good friend, Alison Yin, I dare you to find a more perfectly vintage day...

Please post your sugary-sweet comments here. As Mama Petticoat taught us, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"... so all negative, mean, or irrelevant remarks will be deleted. Merci, beaucoup!
