Hindu Aloha!

For those members of the Petticoat Nation that follow the blog closely, you know that I'm a sucker for multi-cultural weddings.  There's nothing I love more in the wedding profession than witnessing the marriage of tradition and cultural integration.  Not only do they make for gorgeously unique nuptials, they are the symbolic epitome of love conquering all (giving me hope that someday one of my "Unlikely Union" daydreams might actually come true!).

The bride and groom do not have to be from different ethnic backgrounds for a wedding to qualify as "multi-cultural".  Today's nuptials are the perfect example of this.  Kavita & Tejas wanted a traditional Hindu ceremony... and for those of you who know, that usually entails plane tickets to India and a week-long celebration in the native country's fashion.  However instead of making the long-distance trek, this gorgeous couple decided to integrate their Hawaiian homeland into the mix.  This is where we cue the multi-cultural goodness!  With a beach side ceremony, a tropical color scheme, and an always timely Hawaiian double rainbow, this is one traditional wedding that screams with multi-cultural delight.  Proving that culture is not just what your born into, but where your heart is... say "Aloha" to Tejas & Kavita's Hindu nuptials!

Please post your sugary-sweet comments here. As Mama Petticoat taught us, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all"... so all negative, mean, or irrelevant remarks will be deleted. Merci, beaucoup!
