Come one, come all... to the adorable wedding of Amber & Stephen! With immense creativity and a penchant for fun, this is one couple who sure knows how to through a party. Here's what bride, Amber had to say about their carnival-inspired wedding...
Stephen and I both work behind the scenes in television and met while working at the same entertainment company. We were friends for six months before we finally share our first kiss. The night after our first kiss, we spent the entire evening at the Santa Monica Pier. Three years later, Stephen proposed.
The Santa Monica Pier became a template for our wedding. We are both very creative and wanted to make it a fun and unforgettable night. We decided on a carnival theme, with elements of one of our favorite movies "Up". Friends and family pitched in to help us have the wedding of our dreams. Each guest was greeted by Steve's cousin's twins with pink popcorn, peanuts, and crackerjacks. Steve's mom and godmother made the cigarette boxes and labels. We customized a mailbox for guest cards to resemble the mailbox from "Up".
For the reception, we hired a palm reader and caricature artist. Ste'ves godfather also made the bean bag toss. Steve's aunt did all of the floral arrangements, which sat on top of blue ticket rolls. When guests sat down, there were wedding mad libs for guests to fill out. After dinner, guests moved inside for dancing, a candy bar, and photo booth. For dessert, we opted for pies instead of cake and topped one off with handmade figures of Carl & Ellie from film "Up".
