Detail Spotlight: Dog Days

Sometimes the details of an event are so stunning and thoughtful, we have to dedicate a whole post just to them.  And today, that's what we're doing!  A ridiculously talented group of vendors got together to celebrate the recent victories in same sex marriage laws with an alfresco LBGT inspired wedding.  From vibrant colors to themed martinis to puppies, this is one event you certainly wouldn't want to miss.  Here's what photographer Holly Steen of Cakes & Kisses had to say about all the delicious details:

In our industry, the driving force behind any wedding is love.  Regardless of gender, love exists and it is powerful.  The wooden furniture provided the perfect canvas for the tablescape, which included bright cobalt blue vases filled with bright pink garden roses, tulips, ranunculus, sweet peas, azalea and of course, bougainvillea.  Additional accents among the table included a colorful woven runner, contrasting napkins, and gold chargers.

A lounge area was created with the same design concept and included a fun rug and bright turquoise cushions to carry on the alfresco style.  In lieu of a full dessert bar, we opted for a 'Sweet and Salty Bar', which surrounded the beautiful cake.  And of course, a signature drink, the 'LGBTini', a lemonade ginger berry tea.  Custom orchid place cards completed the table decor.

Finally, what would a day outdoors be without a few adorable pups?  The cuties joined the festivities and were even pampered with their own beverage and snack station, which included chicken and bacon flavored water and doggie treats.
