Alright, we think it’s time to call the next big wedding trend to sweep the nation… shabby chic!  Although tried and true, this romantic and relaxed design has never really sat at the foreground of wedding style.  But as the months have been ticking off on the 2015 calendar, this has been an undeniable trend that keeps popping up.  So today we make the call!  Shabby chic weddings are about to invade your Pinterest feed!  And to prepare yourselves for the overload of pretties, we have a stunningly like-themed wedding to share with you.  Encompassing the design’s signature soft pastels, florals, and vintage details Photographer Julia Cantley breaks down the essentials of a truly gorgeous shabby chic affair:

Romantic, elegant and a hint of vintage was the inspiration for this southern garden wedding styled shoot. It all started with a garden, a little bit of a gold and knowing I wanted flowers in colors of pink, green, and cream. Consulting with Kelly Burgess, local Artist, created this charming bridal bouquet. A private residence, prized for it’s garden, was the perfect venue to accompany my vision of southern charm.

It came together so beautifully with vintage details like the new 2015 Casablanca dress from Prattville Bridal and Tux Shoppe that the model was wearing. I knew that I needed soft and classic for Lexi’s hair and Jessica Davis, the Hair and Make-up specialist, was able to have that come to life. She did natural make up for Lexi, an up-do that consisted of soft curls to the side. Jessica was able to incorporate a gorgeous flower comb which made with various flowers in blush pink, ivory, a vintage inspired rhinestone button cabochon, a faux pearl cabochon and a brass leaf from Marlosha on Etsy.Describing my ideas of an elegant garden wedding with a touch of glamour and sparkle, specifically gold, with Emily Lett of Indulge Sweet Shoppe was perfectly planned and executed. The hand-painted look of the bottom tier, gold sparkle middle layer and a simply perfect top later with draping flowers made for a ideal centerpiece on the main table.

The gold rimmed vintage china collection was accented with hues of pink, green and cream flowers all perfect for an elegant and classic feel to match the bridal bouquet. An old wood table was draped with vintage lace to give it that southern but elegant charm. The back of the chairs were draped with ivory sheers, accented with florals and lace that matched the wrapping on the bridal bouquet. Green grapes, pears, and a lime topped each drink to finish off the details. Finally, having an invitation created with all my ideas was designed by Beck McCormick with Autumn Lane Paperie from Garden Grove, CA. I love how she incorporated the garden appeal and elegance with the calligraphy type. The day was perfect with blue skies and warm temperatures made this styled shoot a success and my vision come to life.
