Strawberry Shortcake on the go!

I have been compensated by ZonePerfect® for this post; however I am sharing my own thoughts. All opinions are my own. #Ad #ZonePerfectRevitalize

There are two types of women in the world: the ones who carry large purses and the ones that do not. Never a fan of the bag of cosmic abyss, I fall into the latter category. Hi, my name is Sam and am a tiny purse addict. Give me enough space for my credit cards, lipstick, and a snack and I am ready to conquer the world.  However, since starting my own business and becoming a mom, I find that the small bag lifestyle is challenging. In particular, my busy schedule leaves little time for food breaks and thus I need to carry snacks with me… again, a challenge in my undying commitment to small handbags. Luckily, I have found a new, multi-faceted snack to literally fit into my compact life. Today I am going to introduce you to ZonePerfect® Revitalize for Mental Focus. In particular, we are talking their Strawberry Shortcake Nutrition Bars, my friends.

Okay, okay. I know you are thinking to yourself, “Wait, doesn’t every professional food blogger hand craft every single snack from organic ingredients grown in their own gardens?!” Well, that is certainly what the majority of food bloggers would want you to think. But the reality is that, like most working parents, I do not have a team of personal assistants and nannies, so I ain’t got time for that! I will leave the hand-picked chia seed, garden-grown fig bites to Martha Stewart and her army of minions. Us living in the real world often need quick and convenient realistic solutions. For example, I will offer up this confession: the only snacks or meals I ever have time to cook are the ones I make for my blog. That’s it. Between recipe development, staging photo shoots, negotiating contracts with food brands, changing diapers, editing photos, answering emails, trying to get my daughter to nap (which is seriously 95% of my day), writing articles, and raising a well-rounded human being, I simply do not have the time or energy to make every single thing I eat from scratch. And this is what I do for a living! So all that being said, I like to cultivate a list of go-to products for quick, easy, and delicious eating.

Lucky for us, Target has a new line of snacks, the ZonePerfect Revitalize Nutrition Bars. I made my way to the store’s lunchbox aisle and picked up a box (or five!) of the Strawberry Shortcake flavor. Not only do they have 11g of protein and taste heavenly, they give you the mid-day pick-me-up you actually need. That’s right, these little babies feature green tea extract, giving the bars the equivalent caffeine you would find in ½ cup of coffee. Oh, that got your attention didn’t it?! I don’t know about you, but I am not one to shirk at an additional boost of caffeine to the system.

But personally I find one particular feature of the ZonePerfect Revitalize Nutrition Bars best above the rest. They are compact! Yup, they fit in my tiny purse. Game. Set. Match.

Once again, a delicious product has led me to reveal my blogging secrets. But remember if Ina Gartner asks, be a doll and tell her I grow my own non-conflict asparagus and grind my own Peruvian paprika. A little white lie won’t hurt anyone.  In the meantime, make sure to pick up some of these delicious snacks at your local Target and learn more about this new product here.

  1. I’m a girl who just loves purses, so it depends on the day what I carry. 😉 I have seen the ZonePerfect bars in the store and wondered about them. Now I don’t have to and will have to pick up a box on my next store run.

  2. Ok, first off those bars look delish (I am constantly looking for new ones to try as my hubby and I have a slight addiction to them…) secondly, I don’t know how you do the little bags (ha!!) I have to fit my entire house in my purse before I consider leaving (yep, something to work on!) TheOliveBlogger

  3. Literally sitting at my desk planning my trip to CVS to see if they carry these! These looks absolutely delicious and would be the perfect mid-morning snack!

  4. I used to carry a teeny tiny purse. Well, people were so concerned about my lack of space that someone finally gave me a larger bag. Go figure, it was actually a Betsy Johnson bag she’d never used. But nonetheless, I was like, “why don’t people understand I’m just happy with a small bag?” Go figure.

  5. Thanks for awesome find! I’ll have to take a trip to target, my son loves breakfast bars and it looks like this is packed with protein!
