Life is complicated and messy. Sometimes through all the deadlines, responsibilities, and general chaos, I personally need to make a concerted effort to relax. Raise your hand if you feel me on this one! Yup your hand is raised, isn’t it? Whether it is scheduling a free second or taking advantage of a spontaneous (and quite glorious!) moment of silence, relaxation takes resolve. It is in those rare moments that you can choose to shine. Once in a blue moon, I find that I have a morning off. And on those mornings, I relish in putting together a scrumptious breakfast in bed. I am talking full-out flowers on my tray, people! Today, I have teamed up with noosa mates yoghurt as they help me create a fabulously relaxing break-time.
This breakfast in bed is not some magazine-worthy, husband-concocted fantasy of waffles and bacon. No. This is the busy-working-mom, holy-cow it’s finally quiet in the house so I better hurry to enjoy a free moment, sort of breakfast in bed. As I have mentioned before in previous posts, I have a go-to list of staples that I always have in the house. One of those go-to’s is the unfailingly yummy noosa mates. If you are unfamiliar, noosa is made with all-natural whole milk and fresh fruit purees in small batches on a family farm in Colorado. Luckily for me, they also have a new line of flavors that do not disappoint. So for today’s illustrated (and more health-conscious) breakfast in bed, I’m whipping out the honey cranberry almond noosa, some fresh blueberries, a cold-brew coffee, and my phone (the modern-day newspaper).
Make sure to pick up your staple-worthy supply of noosa mates at your local Target or Whole Foods. So when you find yourself with a free morning, how do you relax? Shout it out below!
