Loaded Potato Soup & Cheesy Chestnut Poppers

INGREDIENTS:

  • Idahoan Steakhouse Soups – Loaded Potato Soup
  • 1 roll of pre-made dough
  • 10 roasted chestnuts
  • 1/2 cup of parmesan cheese (shredded)
  • 1 egg (yolk only)
  • Garnish: Bacon pieces

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F and grease a mini muffin pan.
  2. Roll out the dough and cut into 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″ squares. Gently push each square into a mini muffin cavity. Sprinkle a pinch of parmesan cheese inside the dough and top with a chestnut. Fold over the dough edges to completely envelope.
  3. Brush the poppers with the egg wash and bake for approximately 10-13 minutes. Remove and let cool slightly before serving.
  4. While the poppers are being baked, prepare the Idahoan Steakhouse Loaded Potato Soup per the directions on the package. Plate, garnish with the bacon pieces, and serve with the poppers. Enjoy!

This meal is super easy to make. But just in case you need a little extra encouragement, let’s walk through it together… Preheat the oven to 375F and grease a mini muffin pan.   1. I really enjoyed this post. Your food photography and tabletop styling are just great! What an interesting idea for a roasted chestnut popper appetizer or side item, have not had one of those in years. Both the soup and the poppers look delish!
