As warmer weather rolls in, there are a few items that you probably want to retire. The chunky knit sweater should be nowhere in sight. That amazing potato soup recipe you perfected over the holiday season? Put it away! Oh, and you know that weather app you’ve been glued to this winter? Shut it down, because thanks to the summer season I can already give you the forecast for the next 4 months: It’s going to be hot with a side of sticky. But if you are like me, there is one item that can never be retired… coffee. However, during summers I find myself in a predicament. The unbearably muggy summers of the South make my hot cup o’ joe seem like a chore whose sole existence is a caffeine fix. Luckily for us, Dunkin’ Donuts has a solution. Cold Brew Coffee!
Try to contain your squeals, but yes it’s true that Dunkin’ Donuts Cold Brew coffee is now available at Walmart. But wait, there’s more. You can brew all the coffee you’ll need for a week with one box and keep it chilling in the fridge. Hold up, did you hear that?! Was that an angel choir singing?! Cold, refreshing, and convenient?! It’s like a sweaty procrastinator’s dream come true.
I decided to do a bit of investigative journalism and try out Dunkin’ Donuts Cold Brew for myself. You see the sacrifices I willingly make for you, my lovely readers?! Let me walk you through my findings…
Step 1: Drop!
I located the box at my local Walmart in the coffee aisle. It almost seemed too easy. I went home and filled a pitcher with 4 cups of water. I removed one of the packages from the box and took out the two coffee packs.
Step 2: Steep!
I placed the coffee packs in the pitcher, placed it in the refrigerator, and let the magic happen. It was at this point that I had to summons all my will power and let the coffee steep for 8-12 hours.
Step 3: Love!
I removed the sweet nectar of the gods from the fridge and took out the coffee packs. I then added 3 more cups of cold water to the pitcher and voila! I had myself a week’s worth of Dunkin’ Donuts Cold Brew coffee.
I poured myself a glass over ice, added a bit of creamer, found a breezy spot on my back porch, and sipped to my heart’s chilly content.
My investigative journalism also uncovered the fact that Dunkin’ Donuts cold brew coffee pairs perfectly with chocolate-filled cookies.
Personally, I enjoyed the cold brew unadulterated but if you’re feeling a bit cheeky, I would suggest adding a scoop of ice cream to the cup. A Cold Brew Float?! I know, I’m a genius.
So how do you plan to enjoy your pitcher of Dunkin’ Donuts Cold Brew? Shout it out below and make sure to pick up some boxes on your next grocery run.
